Katy Navaro - I am a happily married mother of 3 wonderful children,
Alysha, Taylor, and Reis. They call me a "lifer" here, as I have been riding at Sheridan Oaks Stable for almost
20 years. Some of those on hunters with Kim, and even more on reiners with Dave. Riding has given me a positive escape
from the everyday stresses of life. Now my children share my love of horses and it has turned into a family adventure. The
owners, riders and staff here all feel great commeradery, becoming not only friends but an extension of each others
families.

Margie Loden- Growing up in a suburb of Baltimore, the only horses
I saw were those pulling carts up and down the alleys selling strawberries. We moved to Texas when our daughter, Megan, was
6. She wanted to ride. As they say, the rest is history. Horses changed our lives, giving us the opportunities to have one
ranch and barn built, several foals born, and many trips to horse shows. Megan showed hunters and then reiners. We left Texas
for Florida in 2006 leaving Megan in college in west Texas, son and daughter-in-law in Austin and another son, daughter-in-law, and
granddaughter in Hong Kong. We found Dave on the NRHA list of trainers. Sheridan Oaks Stable has given me the chance
to pursue my dream of learning to ride and show reiners. I still get excited every time I drive to the barn! I love my
new horse and the great friends whom have become a special part of my family!

Ed Frawley -
The reining addiction
claimed me in 2005. Life altering it was. While visiting Dave with his old college roommate, Gene Fassett, at an FRHA event
in Jacksonville, Dave put me on a reining horse named Frosty. All I did was spin that day. Spin to the left, spin to the right.
I called my wife and told her I had the most tremendous experience. I said “Honey, I want a reining horse!” She
replied, “Honey, I want you to have one, but…” Fast forward to July of 2009. Texas. Dave, Gene Fassett
(seeing a trend here?) and myself go to see a horse. The craving was back! I . The horse I bought in Texas was Gata
Latta Boom AKA Boomer. Like any good addict, I just can’t get enough. I can’t get enough of the great training
I have been given from Dave. I can’t get enough of the great friends I have made. I can’t get enough of
the feelings I get when I look at my wife in the stands after a run and she is smiling no matter what my score
is!Boomer and I became a team in 2010 at our first reining event. He has taught me to
love, forgive and forget. He has taught me that this sport takes both of us operating as one. I have bad days and he has bad
days. But when it clicks and we are one there is no better place in the world. Dave is molding us every day, and every time
Dave, Boomer and I work together we get stronger.
Please do not call for an intervention because I am refusing treatment for this addiction!!!!! Thank you
Dave, Kim, Heath, Janae, Tres and all my barn family

Brianna Leavy - Not many dreams come true when you're only 14.
Mine started to when I signed up for Kim's summer horse camp two years ago. It was so much fun! I didn't want it to end.
After that I was hooked. I took lessons with Kim every Saturday. She prepared me for things I would need to know to become
a reiner. After alot of fun and hard work, she turned me over to Dave, who teamed me up with my dream horse, Cisco. Currently,
I take lessons with Dave and he prepares us for the horse shows. Because of his kindness, guidance and total belief in us,
we won a class at our second show. Sheridan Oaks is a wonderful place, everyone is so kind, friendly and work as a team. Cisco
and I love it here. Brianna Leavy

Lucinda McIver-Human - After successfully showing hunters
for years, I changed to showing reiners. After watching the 2001 Rookie of the Year in OKC, I knew my goal - To be NRHA Rookie
of the Year. After a less than stellar start in Green Reiner in NC, I realized I needed a trainer with much focus and a very
goal oriented approach. My husband directed me to Dave. Huge commitment, tremendous focus, and many miles, along with Dave's
very precise and organized program made my dream come true. Dave paired me with "Mr Jerry Jac". With Dave, Kim,
Butch (my husband), Heath, our vet, our farrier, and everyone at Sheridan Oaks on our "team", we did it - we were
the 2007 NRHA Reserve World Champion Rookie of the Year! Wow!

Maryln Kaufman - I spent four years on the sidelines watching
my son, Logan, take lessons and compete under the training of Dave Moore. During those years, I squelched my desire to climb
on a reining horse and give it a try myself. Finally, at the age of fifty-one, I took my first lesson. The discipline required,
challenge confronted, and thrill of the showing experience has provided the excitement and adreniline rush I crave. I teasingly
say, "Reining is my drug of choice." Sheridan Oaks has a built in host of friends that support each other, like
no others, every step of the way. No one wants you to succeed more than Dave does. No one makes it more fun than Kim does.

Kevin Jewell -
I have 54 years experience in this world and most of it has been
around horses. I started riding P.O.A.'s when I was 5, and showing was just about going and having fun with the family. Over
the years, I have shown everything from halter and pleasure, to games and hunter/jumpers. I still go a few times a year and
ride hunters at local shows, but I am now finally doing what I have wanted to do for a long time. Ride Non Pro reining with
my best friend Dave Moore. I first met Dave in 1981 when his only claim to fame was being married to the 1977 Miss Appaloosa,
the former Kim Abrahamson. Now he is one of the best reining trainers in the country and I and my family are proud to be involved
with Sheridan Oaks. My daughter Ashley has ridden and competed with Kim and won many National Championships in the hunter
ring, as has my wife, winning at both the National ApHC Show and the World Show. My daughter Audrey is an N.C.A.A. athlete
at the University of South Carolina, and rides reiners on the equestrian team. She has been a student of both Dave and Kim,
and has become a very successful rider. She has been a starter on the team for her first two seasons. My son Austin
has become involved with the reining and often stays at Sheridan Oaks and rides with Dave and his buddy Tres. He has become
a winner on his I.E.A. team in the reining, thanks to Dave, and looks forward to competing more at N.R.H.A. shows. Dave
and I have helped each other in many ways over the past 20 some years, and I continue to get his help regularly in order to
become a better N.R.H. A. rider. I show up at Sheridan Oaks every month to do a little farrier work for Dave, and occasionally
grill a slab of salmon, but mostly I like to visit there because Dave and Kim are my second best friends. Jaime Jewell is
first.

John Conely-
My midlife crisis was deciding I wanted to become a middle age cowboy.
I was just getting started in the reining world when we moved to South Florida and met Dave and Kim Moore. I joined Dave
at the "serious" barn and my daughter Katie who was 6 at the time joined Kim at the "fun" barn. The Moore's are
a great family and have a super program for non-pros of all levels. Dave
helped me with my goals and he made the hard work fun and rewarding. He laid out a program that lead me to become Rookie
of the Year for the State of Florida in 2005. And then found another horse for me, at my request, so that we could step up
our showing to a higher level. I gave him my budget and my criteria and he found just the horse. This horse, Rowdy, appears
on the front cover of the November 2009 issue of Horse&Rider magazine with Dave in the saddle. The Moore family and the other clients who work with Dave make this a truly fun filled adventure. John Conely

Dale Sargeant -
I was raised
when TV was Saturday morning and my heroes were Roy Rogers, The Lone Ranger and Sky King. There would sometimes be a gallop
on my trusted steed (kitchen broom horse), those of you in Prime Time will recall they used to sell Horse Brooms;
mine being the work horse variety I was sent out doors to gallop and chase the bad guys. Fast forward to now , the same love of
the ride and about ten horses later I was at a time where perhaps it was time to retire from owning and riding horses , but
a local Appaloosa farm changed that and my wife Ruth and I jumped back into new horses. This placed us at a local fair ground
where two years ago I saw a Reining Class (competition of two) … WOW WHAT WAS THAT? WHERE’S MY BROOM? About a year later I got
to spin a Reining Horse at Sheridan Oaks with Dave: the horse Killer did anything but his name and I was hooked. This was
January 2010 and all has been fast and large since. First real lesson in January with a really special trainer, buy a special
horse" ER", in April, first show of life (any type) in July, first long trailer haul to North Carolina in October A small slow on ER: this
is the first well trained, well bred, really pretty horse I have ever been with. He’s smart enough that sometimes practice
would be better served if he stood in the middle and nickered to me: run fast, run slow, change leads! To come from a time and place thinking that it was
time to retire from horses, what a find Sheridan Oaks has been. The training, facilities and fun are matched only by the camaraderie
of the friends we have there. There is no opportunity to fail. You may ride a little funky sometimes but there is always support
and next time. That
is why this winter Ruth and I are headed back to Florida and Sheridan Oaks to enjoy reining with all our new friends, what
luck.
